Laptop Dvd Rewriter What's Going On With My New Laptop's DVD Reader/Writer/Rewriter With Vista?

What's going on with my new Laptop's DVD Reader/Writer/Rewriter with Vista? - laptop dvd rewriter

Acer Aspire 5520 is a new laptop, everything I did to install Vista. I burned CDs, CD in my computer XP / writers, and they want to put on my portable DVD player / rewriter writer, but when I load the contents of folders on CD most of the time. The CD is presented almost as full as it really is, but it has nothing to show, waiting empty folders. There were exceptions, like a folder with about 100 JPG images and Word documents, some worked, but three other folders on the same CD with image files like JPG, and PSD inside blank. I deleted all files in a folder on my XP, which had not appeared, and again burned, not in a folder and files on my laptop, as they should.

Moreover, CD had no folders in it, but fully loaded as empty! No images, Word documents or MP3, are presented, but if I appear not all the XP CD. I do not understand ... Need help? I have many blank CDs for now.

Normally, the CD / DVD-ROM will serve as a Plug and Play devices, which, when installed on the laptop only start to work without installation.

On the Vista machine:
The Device Manager Start> Search''> CD / DVD-ROM [+] tab
Check the CD / DVD-ROM is shown in this folder, if so, then right-click and choose "Scan for hardware changes".
If not, you have a problem, you need to display the CD / DVD-ROM and close, then this problem that the pins do not reach the right line and the device can not function appropriately.

Try it, hope it works.
